My marketing investment is higher, but my commission is not!

“Hey, Ashley, do you charge a higher commission than other agents?”
I’ve had a few people text me the same question in the last month, so I figured I’d just publicly answer it here: NO.
The reason people have asked (even some friends lol) is they’ve noticed I invest a lot more into marketing than the average agent does. That’s one reason you’re reading this article... I paid my website manager to post it! And I take that same mentality with my listings. I invest A LOT of money into promoting my listings (literally thousands of dollars a month in social media ads alone), so they get as much exposure as possible.
Do I charge my clients extra for this? NO.
I eat the cost of the marketing.
But it means my listings will get more exposure than other listings. And therefore, in the long run, I get more referrals from happy clients.... not to mention my investments in staging and other advice that yield a higher sales price, which is another way that the client and I both benefit! Win-win.
