Would a Realtor ever recommend renting out your home instead of selling?

Here’s advice most Realtors won’t give you.

It might not be a good idea to sell your home when moving. I realize I make my living off of people selling their homes, but I view my job as more than just helping people buy and sell… I'm here to help people make smart real estate decisions that align with their bigger goals in life.

So why would it not be a good idea to sell? Well if your current mortgage is under 4.5%, now might be the perfect time to become a landlord instead of selling your home. With such a low interest rate, you have a great opportunity for steady cash flow from rental income!

This extra income can help offset your new (likely higher) mortgage payment, boost your savings, and maybe even allow you to have some disposable income for FUN—like that vacation you’ve been dreaming of.

This strategy may not work for everyone, but I would be happy to look at the options and help you figure out the best plan for YOU... even if that means talking you out of selling your home and putting myself out of a job in the process.
